Nuclear Noon Portraits

Here’s a quick preview of the portraits that will be featured on the poster. First there’s the spacefarring Asian narrator, then a super mutant villain, the hero, and finally a mysterious albino cowboy who could be friend or foe. Still have to go in and adjust the linework so they’re consistent for each, touchup colors then apply textures. This is gonna be quite a rush to get this all finished by this weekend…

Another small update – things are beginning to solidify and i’ve applied some of the suggestions I’ve received.

High Nuclear Noon in progress

This is a little in progress shot of the High Nuclear Noon movie poster I’m making for Andy. The basic bits of it were already hammered out during a pulp fiction cover assignment from earlier in the year. Now I’ve had to change up the monster (still being constructed into a worm-thing), insert the damsel in distress and the portraits of potential villains/characters. I think the basic layout of the poster is still in the works as things will continue to move around and such in order to nail that proper hierarchy im looking for. More on this soon.

1984 Comp

Semester two of year three has rolled to and end for me, which means more time for my own stuff and more time to make the monies. Here’s one of the 4 pieces i submitted for my final for Figure Illustration class, which was supposed to be a mood study but instead turned into a bunch of landscape studies. I chose to do just environmental shots of Orwell’s classic 1984 and just show my interpretation of a city eternally aglow with the ever-watching eye of the Big Brother.

I’ll be going back into this one soon to clean it up and make it more of a digital painting and more mini-poster sized.
